PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week extravaganza begins

PFDC L’Oreal Bridal Week returns with a second season to kick off tomorrow in Lahore. The lineup this year is an interesting mesh of established aces and some interesting new names.

Names to watch out for are Fahad Hussayn and Ali Xeeshan for some uncontemporary and off the mill bridals. And keep an eye on Elan’, HSY and Nida Azwer to see some traditional bridal trousseau done to perfection.

This year’s lineup also includes four make-up artists each of whom will collaborate with a fashion designer to present an exclusive beauty/style trend show. Nabila had something similar for L’Oreal at last year’s event and it was spectacular. Here is the four day lineup for that:

  1. Nabila [N-Pro] with Zaheer Abbas [Day – 1]
  2. Maram&Aabroowith Zara Shahjahan[Day – 2]
  3. Toni&Guywith Mohsin Ali [Day – 3]
  4. Khawar Riaz with Adnan Pardesy[Day – 4]

One of the best developments to take place this year is the scrapping of jewellery shows, they weren’t of much interest and show value and were wastage of an important slot. And HSY will be delivering the finale’. Surprise, surprise!!

Here is what I am looking forward to the most at this year’s PFDC L’Oreal Bridal Week:

  • Ali Xeeshan for an unconventional applique of traditional crafts
  • Fahad Hussayn for some dark and twisted but serene beauty
  • HSY for high drama and showmanship amid beautiful pieces
  • Elan’ for detailed display of craftsmanship.
  • Misha Lakhani for being brightest new name in bridal market
  • Nabila and Zaheer Abbas show for some artful display of Avant garde fashion
