PFDC L’Oreal Bridal Week: Looks from the Black Carpet

When it comes to spotting stylish fashionistas, this year’s PFDC L’Oreal Bridal Week was a lot more subdued affair than last year’s glitz but they did roll out a carpet. Here’s what the fashionistas, socialites and fashion who’s who wore to PFDC L’Oreal Bridal Week throughout the four days.

Selina Rashid Khan in Akif Mehmood

Selina wore a top from Akif’s ‘Glamazon’ collection shown at PFDC Sunsilk fashion Week earlier this year. The look was an instant attention grabber and looked even better in real, the effect of gold motifs on the front is quite ravishing. Black blazer and Chanel bag makes her look like one hell of a chic publicist.

Alizeh Waqar in Nickie & Nina

She also wears a dress from PFDC’s pret week from earlier this year. That collection was an inspiring affair and same could be said about this dress. The overall effect is too heavy and it just has a bit too many details and doesn’t appease visually.

Maida Azmat in Kamiar Rokni

And another look from the PFDC April show. Have to say pretty impressed by swiftness of Lahori fashionistas and their appetite for the latest and the most fashion forward look. This collection was as usual Kamiar Rokni at his very best and the dress looks amazing on her. Brownie points for pulling off print on print look.

Faryal Aftab in Muse

Faryal Aftab, the women behind the brand Muse looks super chic as usual. The tweed jacket is a beautiful piece of outerwear in itself but I am sure the dress looks even better without it.

Hamza Tarar in HSY

The long HSY blazer from his latest ready-to-wear collection looks good but the super slim pants and extra long shoes are ruining the look. The colour combination isn’t working either, could have gone for a looser pant and in black maybe.

Aamna Haider Isani in a Shehla Chatoor kurta and an Alexander McQueen Knuckle Buster clutch

Print is interesting and love how the burgundy in the print plays with the burgundy Alexander McQueen delight. Understated but stylish.

Arshy Ahmed in Kamiar Rokni

I saw this stylish woman in front row and wondered who she was. The cut of that dress is superb and the colour looks great on her. Another win for Kamiar.
